Six Rounds of 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad Played in Chennai
Armenia leads the open section, India pulls ahead in the women's.

The 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad goes on in Chennai, India. The sixth round was played on 3 August. Having defeated the second Indian team 2.5-1.5, Armenia has taken the sole lead in the open section with 12 match points scored. The US team is 1 point behind. Eleven teams have got 10 points.
The first Indian team is leading the race with a perfect score in the Women's event after winning against Georgia 3-1. Azerbaijan and Romania have got 11 match points each.
4 August is a rest day. The teams are to play five rounds more.
