Aydin Suleymanli Wins Main Tournament of Aeroflot Open 2020
Rinat Jumabayev is second, Rauf Mamedov is third.

The 18th International chess festival Aeroflot Open supported by Aeroflot - Russian Airlines finished in Moscow on February 27.
The main tournament "A" was sensationally won by the 14-year-old International master Aydin Suleymanli from Azerbaijan, who scored 6.5 points out of 9 and edged out Rinat Jumabayev (2nd place, Kazakhstan), Rauf Mamedov (3rd place, Azerbaijan), and Aravindh Chithambaram (4th place, India).
Tigran Harutyunian (1st place, Armenia), Nikita Afanasiev (2nd place, Russia), and Stanislav Bognanovich (3rd place, Ukraine) won medals of the B tournament with 7 points scored.
Erdenepurev Boldoo (Mongolia) became the winner of the C tournament. He got 7.5 points and edged out Maksad Sapaev (Uzbekistan). Sergey Nefedov and Grigorii Ter-Saakian (both from Russia) shared 304 places with 7 points.
The Festival was organized by the PJSC Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, Chess Federation of Russia, and Association of Chess Federations.
