David Anton Joins Leaders of FIDE Chess.com Grand Swiss
Round 8 finished in the Isle of Man.
The eighth round of the FIDE Chess.com Grand Swiss was played in the Isle of Man on October 18.
After defeating Alexander Grischuk, David Anton has joined the leaders Levon Aronian and Fabiano Caruana, who had made a draw. Now the leaders have got 6 points each.
Ten players, including the Russians Sergey Karjakin, Nikita Vitiugov, and Kirill Alekseenko, are half a point behind.
The following leaders' games will be played in Round 9: Aronian - Anton, Carlsen - Caruana, Alekseenko - Anand, Maghsoodloo - Karjakin, Kovalev - Nakamura, Vitiugov - Wang Hao, and Matlakov - Gelfand.
