World Cup: Second Games of Round 2 Were Played in Tbilisi

Karjakin, Anand and Adams are leaving the race.

On September 7, the return games of the second round of the FIDE World Cup were played in Tbilisi. 

Daniil Dubov defeated the FIDE World Cup 2015 winner Sergey Karjakin. Viswanathan Anand didn’t manage to win back in his match against Anton Kovalyov, and the former World Champion is leaving Tbilisi. Maxim Rodshtein eliminated Michael Adams. 

Magnus Carlsen, Vladimir Kramnik, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Aleksandr Lenderman, Francisco Vallejo Pons, Santosh Vidit, and Vladimir Fedoseev won their matches as well to qualify to 1/16.  .

Ivan Cheparinov won back in his match against David Navara, and they are going to play additional matches, as well as Erdos - Svidler, Rapport - Wei Yi, Sо - Bluebaum, Nakamura - Bruzon, Andreikin - Matlakov, Ivanchuk - Duda, Radjabov - Artemiev, Bacrot - Bu Xiangzhi, Li Chao - Sevian, Aronian - You Yifan, Najer - Vitiugov, Caruana - Lenic, Giri - Motylev, Yu Yangyi - Jobava, Harikrishna - Sethuraman, Wang Hao - Gelfand, Grischuk - Cori, Onischuk - Wojtaszek, Nepomniachtchi - Adhiban, Ding Liren - Kravtsiv and Mamedyarov - Kuzubov.
