Tomashevsky and Karjakin Will Play in Tata Steel 2016
The tournament takes place on January 15-30.
Evgeny Tomashevsky was nominated by the ACP
The final, 14th spot of the Wijk-aan-Zee A tournament was filled by the ACP nominee – Russian champion Evgeny Tomashevsky.
Thus, the 13-round round-robin tournament gathered the following players:
Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Sergey Karjakin (Russia), Evgeny Tomashevsky (Russia), Fabiano Caruana (USA), Welsey So (USA), Anish Giri (Netherlands), Loek van Wely (Netherlands), Ding Liren (China), Wei Yi (China), Hou Yifan (China), Pavel Eljanov (Ukraine), Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan), Michael Adams (England), and David Navara (Czech Republic).
Most rounds will be played in Wijk-aan-Zee, but some of them will run in Utrecht and Amsterdam.
