Duda and Abdumalik are Leading in Khanty-Mansiysk

The highest-rated player of the World U20 Open Championship Jan-Krzysztof Duda (Poland) won as Black against Jorden Van Foreest (Netherlands) and solidified his lead at 6 points. Ulvi Bajarani (Azerbaijan) is half a point behind. Five players are sharing the 3rd place with 5 points each, including the Russian Mikhail Antipov. 

The 15-year-old woman grandmaster Zhansaya Abdumalik from Kazakhstan continues cruising to the title. In the 7th round she celebrated another victory, and has 7 out of 7 now. The nearest pursuers have 5.5 points - Dinara Sadaukassova (Kazakhstan) and Natalia Buksa (Ukraine). Strongest Russian players Alina Bivol and Irina Drogovoz have 4.5 points each. 

Wednesday, September 9 is a rest day, and it is followed by the remaining six rounds of the championships.
