Volodar Murzin and Ekaterina Goltseva Lead Race at Russian Junior Championships
Four rounds are played in Sochi.
Four rounds of the Russian Youth Championship among boys and girls under 15, 17, and 19 years old, Russian Junior Championships, and the all-Russian competition "First League" were played in the AquaLoo resort in Sochi.
The leaders of the Russian Youth Championships in the respective age groups are Valeria Kleymenova (Girls under 15), Maksim Volkov (Open under 15), Zhanna Lesnykh, Olga Karmanova (Girls under 17), Roman Kuzmin, Daniil Manelyuk (Open under 17), Mariya Yakimova (Girls under 19), Maksim Popov, Nikita Lvov, and Marat Shakirov (Open under 19).
The results in the juniors' events are as follows:
Open: Grachev - Tsvetkov 1/2-1/2, Khubukshanov - Pavlov 1-0, Shubin - Nesterov 1/2-1/2, Remizov - Salemgareev 0-1, Tsoi - Murzin 0-1.
Volodar Murzin keeps leading the race with 4 points scored. Arseniy Nesterov is one point behind.
Girls: Zhapova - Nur-Mukhametova 1-0, Grigorieva - Miroshnik 0-1, Loskutova - Solozhenkina 1/2-1/2, Goltseva - Nasyrova 1-0, Dubnikova - Getman 1-0.
Eketerina Goltseva has pulled ahead, having got 3.5 points. Yana Zhapova is trailing by half a point.
