Vladimir Putin Awards Russian Chess Players

The Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the Head coach of the Russian national men's chess team Andrey Filatov with the Order of Honour for the successful performance of the Russian team at the first FIDE Online Olympiad 2020.  

The members of the Russian team Valentina Gunina, Alexandra Kosteniuk, and Kateryna Lagno were given the Orders of Friendship. The players and coaches Vladislav Artemiev, Aleksandra Goryachkina, Alexander Grischuk, Daniil Dubov, Alexander Motylev, Evgeniy Najer, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Vladimir Potkin, Sergei Rublevsky, and Sergey Janovsky were awarded with the medals of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II class. 

A respective decree of the Russian President is published on the Official Internet portal of legal information.
