Vladimir Dvorkovich Chess Parlour Opened in Tomsk

Distinguished guests visited the event. 

On May 19, the Chess Parlor named after Vladimir Dvorkovich was opened in Tomsk as part of the Young Scientists’ Forum U-NOVUS. Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich and Acting Governor of Tomsk Oblast Sergey Zhvachkin took part in the opening ceremony. 

A rapid children’s tournament was held during the event. 28 young chess players, including 8 children with limited health capacities, played in the competition. 

A famous grandmaster Alexander Morozevich gave a simultanious exhibition for the students of Tomsk higher education institutions.
