Traditional Super Tournament Sparkassen Chess Meeting Takes Place in Dortmund

A traditional super tournament Sparkassen Chess Meeting 2019 is taking place in Dortmund featuring eight grandmasters. The second round was played on July 14. The Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi gave himself a birthday present by outplaying Kaido Kulaots (Estonia). Radoslaw Wojtaszek (Poland) defeated Daniel Fridman (Germany), while Teimour Radjabov (Azerbaijan) bested Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu (Germany). The game Rapport - Dominguez ended in a draw. 

Standings after Round 2: 

1-4. Radoslaw Wojtaszek, Leinier Dominguez, Teimour Radjabov, Richard Rapport - 1.5 
5-6. Ian Nepomniachtchi, Daniel Fridman - 1 
7-8. Kaido Kulaots, Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu - 0.
