Team Russia 1 Advances to Final of FIDE Online Olympiad for People with Disabilities

Its rival will be Poland 1.


The semi-finals of the first FIDE Online Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities took place on 29-30 November on Tornelo. 

Team Russia 1 drew the first match against Poland 3 but won the second encounter 3-1 to qualify for the final. 

The Russian team's rival will be Poland 1, which defeated Ukraine 3 in both matches 3.5-0.5.

The final match, as well as the match for the 3rd place, will be held on December 1-2 starting from 3 PM (Moscow time). 

Russia 1 team composition: FM Stanislav Babarykin, IM Andrei Obodchuk, FM Evgeniy Suslov, WIM Irina Kaydanovich, Alexey Smirnov, WFM Svetlana Gerasimova, and Denis Palin.

The Russian teams were supported by the KazRosGaz company during their preparation.
