Russians Enter Field of European Online Youth Championship

Three rounds are completed.

 
 

The European Online Youth Individual and Team Chess Championship among boys and girls under 12, 14, 16, and 18 years old is being held on September 18-20.  

Eight players, including the Russian Taimaz Temirbekov, are leading the race in the U12 open group. Yana Zhapova, Anna Shukhman, and Alexandra Shvedova are among the leaders in the U12 girls' category. 

With Ilya Makoveev and Volodar Murzin, seven players have scored 3 points each in the U14 open event. Six participants, including Veronica Shubenkova, are heading the pack with the perfect score in the same age group among girls.  

Gleb Dudin and Rudik Makarian are in the big leading group in the U16 open tournament. Six players, including Mariya Jakimova, Alisa Nur-Mukhametova, and Ekaterina Nasyrova, are leading the U16 girls' group. 

Andrey Esipenko and Arseniy Nesterov are among the leaders of the U18 open event. Elizaveta Solozhenkina is sharing the lead with five girls in the U18 category. 
 
The Russian participants are playing from the arranged and approved venues in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, and Nizhny Novgorod. The venue in Moscow is the Central Chess Club.
