Russians are Among Leaders of the European Youth Championship

Three rounds are played in Romania.  

After three rounds of the European Youth Championship in Mamaia, Romania, 12 players, including the Russian Savva Vetokhin, are leading the U8 open group. 4 participants, Sofya Svergina and Uliana Kusakina among them, scored 3 points. 

9 young athletes, including Gordey Kolesov, are heading the U10 open group. Veronika Shubenkova is one of the leaders of the U10 girls’ group.  

8 participants scored 100% in the U12 open group. The Russians Egor Kharitonov, Andrey Tsvetkov and Konstantin Popov are half a point behind. Margarita Zvereva and Daria Bondareva are among the leaders of the U12 girls’ category. 

Rudik Makarian and four more particiants have got 3 points in the U14 open group. 4 players, including Kamaliya Bulatova, are leading the U14 girls’ group.

3 players, including Tagir Salemgareev, took the lead in the U16 open category. The girls’ section is headed by 5 participants, with Anna Afonasieva, Ekaterina Goltseva and Aleksandra Maltsevskaya among them. 

Aleksey Sorokin is sharing the first place in the U18 open tournament, while Teodora Rogozenco (Germany) is the sole leader of the U18 girls’ section.
