Russian Teams Win European Senior Championship

Our congratulations!


The European Senior Team Championship finished in Mali Losinj, Croatia. The Russian teams took first places in both age categories. 
 
In the "50+" group, the Russian team (Vladimir Burmakin, Evgeny Gleizerov, Russian Shcherbakov, Yuri Yakovich, and Ildar Ibragimov) scored 17 match points and edged out Croatia 1. The European Chess Academy Maribor (Slovenia) won bronze with 13 points. 



In the "65+" category, the Russians Yuri Balashov, Evgeny Sveshnikov, Evgenij Kalegin, Vladimir Zhelnin, and Nikolai Pushkov won all the matches and got 18 points. Teams Sweden 1 (2nd place) and Germany (3rd place) are 4 points behind.
