Russian Men's Team Defeats Czechs
Our women's team drew with Poland.
In the 7th round of the Olympiad, Russian men's team defeated Czech Republic 3.5-0.5. Karjakin, Tomashevsky, and Nepomniachtchi all won their games, and only Grischuk made a draw.
Other key matches ended as follows:
India-USA 0.5-3.5, Latvia-Netherlands 3-1, Georgia-Romania 3-1, England-China 3-1, Ukraine-Canada 2.5-1.5.
USA leads after seven rounds with 13 points, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, India, England, and Latvia all have 12 points.
In the 8th round Russia will play the US.
Russian women's team played against Poland and made a draw – Goryachkina's loss was compensated by Gunina's win, while Pogonina and Kosteinuk made a draw.
Other results: China-Ukraine 2.5-1.5, USA-Romania 3-1, Azerbaijan-India 2.5-1.5, Netherlands-Georgia 2.5-1.5.
Russia, China, Azerbaijan, USA, and Netherlands are in the lead with 12 points.
Russia's next round opponent is USA.
