Champion of Omsk Region is Determined
Alexander Slizhevsky wins for the second year in a row.

This year the championship of Omsk Region was played in a knock-out format.
In the semifinals Alexander Slizhevsky defeated Alexey Lubashov 2-0, and Konstantin Starosek outplayed Yury Krivko 1.5-0.5.
The first two classical games between Slizhevsky and Starosek were drawn, and the players proceeded to rapid chess. In the next two games Slizhevsky prevailed – 1.5-0.5, and defended the title he earned last year.
Alexey Lubashov was awarded the bronze, as he defeated Yury Krivko 1.5-0.5 in the match for the third place.
President of Omsk Chess Federation Oleg Zolotov and chief arbiter of the event Alexander Podkozhurnikov conducted the closing ceremony and awarded the winners.
