Nana Dzagnidze Wins FIDE Women's Grand Prix Leg in Lausanne

Aleksandra Goryachkina is second.


The final 12th round of the third leg of the FIDE Women's Grand Prix Series was played in Lausanne on March 13. The games A. Muzychuk - Kashlinskaya, M. Muzychuk - Harika, Cramling - Stefanova, Sebag - Abdumalik, Ju Wenjun - Kosteniuk, and Dzagnidze - Goryachkina were drawn.

Nana Dzagidze (Georgia) and Aleksandra Goryachkina (Russia) scored 7 points out of 11. The Georgian player took the first place thanks to her superior tiebreak. Zhansaya Abdumalik (Kazakhstan) is on the third place with 6.5 points.

3. Zhansaya Abdumalik - 6.5
4-5. Alina Kashlinskaya, Anna Muzychuk - 6
6-8. Harika Dronavalli, Antoaneta Stefanova, Mariya Muzychuk - 5.5
9-10. Ju Wenjun, Pia Cramling - 4.5
11-12. Alexandra Kosteniuk, Marie Sebag - 4.

Aleksandra Goryachkina has taken the lead in the FIDE WGP Series having scored 398 points. She is followed by Humpy Koneru (293), Alexandra Kosteniuk (193), Nana Dzagnidze (180), Kateryna Lagno (180), and Harika Dronavalli (180). The Russians Aleksandra Goryachkina and Alexandra Kosteniuk have already finished their performance in the Series.
