Magnus Carlsen Takes Sole Lead in Wijk aan Zee Again

In the ninth round of the Tata Steel Masters, Magnus Carlsen won against the co-leader Shakhriyar Mamedyarov to take the sole lead with 6.5 points scored. The Norwegian is pursued by Anish Giri, who defeated Sam Shankland and now has got 6 points. Fabiano Caruana beat Nils Grandelius, while Sergey Karjakin outplayed Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa. The games Duda - Esipenko, Van Foreest - Dubov, and Rapport - Vidit were drawn.
