Gennady Nesis Invites Chess Players to Take Part in His Jubilee Blitz Cup
The event will be held in Kirishi on May 22.

Nesis Blitz Cup 2017 will take place in Kirishi on May 22 as part of the 15th World's Youth Stars International Tournament in Memory of Vanya Somov.The tournament is dedicated to Gennady Nesis’ 70th anniversary. Grandmasters, International Masters and FIDE Masters are invited to take part. The bus from the metro station Kupchino in Saint Petersburg leaves at 9 a.m. on May 22. The official part starts in the Kinef’s Palace of Culture at 12:45 p.m. A buffet dinner will be organized after the tournament. The bus to Saint Petersburg leaves at 6 p.m.
On Wednesday, May 17, the first games of the 15th World's Youth Stars International Tournament in Memory of Vanya Somov were played. Kirill Shubin (Russia), Lampros Giannoulakis (Greece), Kacharava Nikolozi (Georgia), and Aram Hakobyan (Armenia) won.
