FIDE Grand Prix Series Starts in Berlin

The German capital is hosting the first leg of the FIDE Grand Prix Series 2022. The first round in Pool A saw the draws in the games Esipenko - Grischuk and Bacrot - Nakamura. In Pool B, Vladimir Fedoseev defeated Grigoriy Oparin in the Russian derby, while Radoslaw Wojtaszek beat Richard Rapport. Levon Aronian won against Santosh Vidit in Pool C whilst Vincent Keymer and Daniil Dubov made a draw. The games Shirov - Pentala and So - Dominguez in Pool D also reached a draw haven.
