European Legal Service and Russian Chess Federation Signed a Cooperation Agreement

The ceremony took place at the RCF Chess Museum.

On May 15, 2017, the European Legal Service and the Russian Chess Federation signed a cooperation agreement. Subject of the agreement is the mutual cooperation in the increasing of a legal culture and a legal literacy’s level of the Russian citizens. The agreement was signed by the ELS President Sergey Bekrenev and the RCF Executive Director Mark Glukhovksy at the RCF Chess Museum.

«We are setting ambitious goals: to form a high level of people’s legal culture, to establish a tradition of an unconditional respect towards the law, the law order, and the court, to make decency and conscientiousness a prevailing model of the social behavior, and to overcome a legal nihilism in the society, which prevents Russia from developing into a modern, civilized state. The both organizations can work in one direction, and this co-working can be quite effective», said the ELS President Sergey Bekrenev.

Mark Glukhovsky, in his turn, thanked the European Legal Service for an active concern and help to carry out the RCF’s projects. The partners expressed their hopes that they would cooperate in new significant projects.
