Chess into Orphanages Project Begins in Evpatoria

RCF provides the necessary equipment.

Chess into Orphanages project started in the Evpatoria Sanatory Boarding School. The festive opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Sports Minister of Crimea Farrukh Kamalov, Deputy Chairman of Evpatoria City Council Sergey Kutnev, City Council deputy, President of Evpatoria Federation of Chess and Checkers Tatiana Vasilevich, and Director of Russian Chess School Anton Kuzin. 

In his address to the participants Sergey Kutnev mentioned that the game of chess has an ancient history and unites talented youth from all regions of Crimea. Chess competitions assist in developing our chess tradition and promote the game among the young people. 

RCF launches its charitable program Chess into Orphanages in Crimea on September 15-17. Russian Chess Federation brings the equipment, including chess boards, sets, clocks, demonstration boards, various chess books, etc, to 10 boarding schools of Crimea.
