Artur Gaifullin Strengthens Leadership at Russian U21 Championship

Six rounds played in Sochi.


The sixth round of the Russian Youth Championships under 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21 years old and the all-Russian competition «First League» under 11, 13, 15, and 17 years old (boys and girls) was played in AquaLoo resort (Sochi) on April 25. 

Leaders in the age groups are as follows:

U11. Boys: 1. Lev Zverev - 5.5 points. Girls: 1. Anna Shukhman - 6;

U13. Boys: 1. Erdem Khubukshanov - 5.5. Girls: 1. Olga Karmanova - 5.5;

U15. Boys: 1. Martin Stukan - 5.5. Girls: 1. Ekaterina Nasyrova - 6;

U17: Boys: 1-3. Arseniy Nesterov, Dmitry Tsoi, Tigran Mukhutdinov - 5. Girls: 1. Daria Yurasova - 5.5;

U19: Boys: 1. Oleg Bykov - 5.5. Girls: 1. Anna Afonasieva - 6.

Artur Gaifullin is leading the race at the Russian under 21 championship with 5 points. Semen Khanin, Sergey Drygalov, and Alexandr Triapishko are 1 point behind. Alena Korchagina and Ekaterina Borisova have scored 4 points in the girls' event. 

An extensive additional programme includes athletic competitions, solving contests, as well as seminars for coaches, parents, and arbiters.
