Alexander Grischuk Wins Blitz Event at Tata Steel Chess India

The Tata Steel Chess India Rapid & Blitz finished in Kolkata. The blitz section saw ten grandmasters competing in a double round-robin event. 

The Russian Alexander Grischuk won the tournament, having scored 12 points out of 18. The Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov (2nd place) and the Indian player Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa (3rd place) are 1 point behind the winner. 

The medallists are followed by: 4. Arjun Erigaisi (India) - 10.5, 5. Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France) - 9.5, 6. Pentala Harikrishna (India) - 8.5, 7. Santosh Vidit (India) - 8, 8. Dommaraju Gukesh (India) - 7.5, 9. Vincent Keymer (Germany) - 6.5, and 10. Teimour Radjabov (Azerbaijan) - 5.5.
