The Higher League of the 76th Russian Championship and the 73rd Russian Women's Championship is scheduled to be held in Novokuznetsk (Kemerovo Oblast) from 25 June till 6 July, 2023.
The event is a 9-round Swiss tournament with one rest day.
The match days are 26-29 June and 1-5 July. All rounds start at 11 AM (Moscow time).
Time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves then 30 minutes for the rest of the game with 30 seconds increment per move starting from the first. Players are allowed to be late for their games for no more than 15 minutes.
The total prize fund is 5,000,000 rubles.
Top 5 finishers in each tournament receive the right to play in the 2023 Russian Championships Superfinals.
