World Strongest Grandmasters Arrive in Zagreb

The second stage of the 2019 Grand Chess Tour begins in the capital of Croatia.

The 2019 Croatia Grand Chess Tour will take place in Zagreb from June 26 till July 8.

Magnus Carlsen (Norway, 2875), Fabiano Caruana (USA, 2819), Ding Liren (China, 2805), Maxime Lachier-Lagrave (France, 2779), Anish Giri (Netherlands, 2779), Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia, 2775), Shakhriyar Mamedyarov (Azerbaijan, 2774), Viswanathan Anand (India, 2767), Hikaru Nakamura (USA, 2754), Wesley So (USA, 2754), Levon Aronian (Armenia, 2752), Sergey Karjakin (Russia, 2748) will compete in an 11-round all-play-all tournament. 

The prize fund is $325,000.

Time control: One Hundred and Thirty (130) Minutes with a 30 second delay per move from move 1.

The match days: June 26 – July 1 and July 3-7. Free day: July 2. The rounds start at 5:30 p.m. (Moscow time).
