Wesley So Wins Blitz Tournament in Stavanger
Carlsen and Caruana to play in round 1 again.

The Altibox Norway Chess 2018 super tournament started in Stavanger with the blitz tournament, which was won by Wesley So with 6 points out of 9. Hikaru Nakamura and Viswanathan Anand shared 2-3 places with 5.5 points.
Final standings:
1. Wesley So – 6
2-3. Hikaru Nakamura, Viswanathan Anand – 5.5
4. Magnus Carlsen – 5
5-7. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Fabiano Caruana – 4.5
8. Sergey Karjakin – 3.5
9-10. Levon Aronian, Ding Liren – 3.
According to the Regulations, the winner of the blitz tournament chose his number in the main tournament. Number 2 got the highest available number, and number 3 the second highest, and so on. So the starting list looks as follows:
