Siberia Wins the Russian Club Championship

SHSM (Moscow) wins the women's event.

The final round of the Premier League of the Russian Club Championship brought the following results: Siberia defeated Yamal 4.5-1.5, Bronze Horseman and University drew on all boards, Kazan defeated Malachite 3.5-2.5, SHSM outplayed Lada 3.5-2.5.

Final standings:

1. Siberia – 14 match points (28 board points), 2. University – 11 (24.5), 3. Bronze Horseman – 9 (25), 4. SHSM – 8 (20.5), 5. Malachite – 6 (21.5), 6. Lada – 4 (19),  7. Kazan – 3 (16.5), 8. Yamal – 1 (13).

The first four clubs qualified for the European Club Cup. 

In the women's championship SDYUSSHOR SHSH (St. Petersburg) failed to win against Donchanka – 2-2, and conceded the first place to SHSM (Moscow), who defeated University 3.5-0.5. Boavista drew with Kazan 2-2, Ugra crushed Kuban 4-0, Grozny won against Glek Academy 3-1. 

Final standings:

1. SHSM – 11 (20.5), 2. SDYUSSHOR SHSH – 11 (18.5), 3. Ugra – 10 (19.5), 4. Boavista – 9 (17), 5. Grozny – 8 (13.5), 6. University – 7 (13),7. Kazan – 6 (14.5), 8. Donchanka – 4 (11.5), 9. Glek Academy – 4 (8), 10. Kuban – 0 (4). 

The top three clubs qualified for the European Club Cup. 

Higher League results: 

1. Polytechnic (Nizhny Tagil) – 11 (17.5), 2-3. SDYUSSHOR SHSH (St. Petersburg), Boavista – (Moscow) – both 10 (17). 

Polytechnic promoted to the Premier League for the next season.

Junior championship, boys:

1. SHSM – 11 (20), 2. Crimea – 10 (17.5), 3. Izhevsk – 9 (18).

Junior championship, girls:

1. SHSM – 9 (16), 2. Lada – 8 (13.5), 3. University – 6 (10.5).
