Oleg Vastrukhin Wins Russian Rapid Grand Prix Stage in Taganrog

Alexei Shirov and Ernesto Inarkiev share 2-3 places.


Vladimir Dvorkovich Memorial, the first stage of the Rapid Grand Prix of Russia in 2019, is concluded in Taganrog. Oleg Vastrukhin, a candidate master from Krasnodar, scored a sensational victory with 9 points our of 11. Alexei Shirov (Spain) and Ernesto Inarkiev are half a point behind. Dmitry Kryakvin, Alexandr Triapishko, Artur Gabrielian, Evgeny Shaposhnikov, Sergey Volkov, Zhamsaran Tsydypov, and Dmitry Bocharov have got 8 points each. 

Alexandr Triapishko has become the best among local chess players. Elena Tomilova showed the highest result among women. Gennady Tunik excelled among seniors. Valery Skachkov and Leya Garifullina are strongest among boys and girls respectively.
