European Club Cup: Odlar Yurdu in the Sole Lead Before Last Round

On October 13, the penultimate round 6 of the European Club Cup was played in Antalya, Turkey. In the open section, the Russian club Globus drew the match with Alkaloid (Macedonia). Odlar Yurdu (Azerbaijan) defeated Mednyi Vsadnik (Russia) 3.5-2.5. ShSM Legacy Square Capital (Russia) bested Beer Sheva Chess Club (Israel) 3.5-2.5.
Before the last round, Odlar Yurdu is the sole leader with 11 match points. Globus is 1 point behind. Alkaloid, Ave Novy Bor (Czech Republic), ShSM Legacy Square Capital, and Csm Baia Mare (Romania) have scored 9 points.
Leaders’ games in round 7 will be as follows: Ave Novy Bor - Odlar Yurdu, Globus - ShSM Legacy Square Capital, and Alkaloid - Csm Baia Mare.
Batumi Chess Club Nona (Georgia) defeated ShSM Legacy Square Capital (Russia) 3-1 to lead the pack with 10 match points. Odlar Yurdu (Azerbaijan) is second with 9 points. In round 6 the team drew the match with Ugra (Russia). Ugra and Bossa Nova (Belarus) have both scored 8 points.
The following leaders’ encounters will take place in the last round: Batumi Chess Club Nona - Cs Studentesc Medicina Timisoara, Odlar Yurdu - Marmara, Bossa Nova - Mulhouse Philidor, and Mediterranean - Ugra.
