Young Russians Fight for Medals of the European Youth Championship

Four rounds are played in Romania.

Round 4 games of the European Youth Championship were played in Mamaia. Russians are fighting for the medals. Savva Vetokhin is sharing 1-6 places in the U8 open group, while Sofya Svergina is among the leaders in the U8 girls’ category. Nikita Dovbnia and Gordey Koselov have scored 3 points in the U10 open group. Veronika Shubenkova is sharing 1-2 places with 4 points in the U10 girls’ group. Egor Kharitonov, Konstantin Popov, Anna Zhurova, Eva Stepanyan and Daria Bondareva have got 3.5 points in the U12 events.

Tigran Mukhutdinov and Aram Yeritsyan have scored 3.5 points in the U14 open group. Ekaterina Sosnina and Kamaliya Bulatova are pursuing the leaders with 3 points. Timur Fakhrutdinov is sharing 1-9 places with 3.5 points in the U16 open category, while Alexandra Maltsevskaya has got a perfect score and will play against her main rival Olga Badelka (Belarus). Aleksey Sorokin with 3.5 points is among the leaders in the U18 open tournament. Alena Korchagina has got 3 points in the same age group.
