Natalia Buksa Seizes the Lead in the World U20

Jan-Krzysztof Duda increases the gap in the Open section.

The 10th round games were played at the World U20 Championships in Khanty-Mansiysk today. In the women's event, Zhansaya Abdumalik (Kazakhstan) suffered her first defeat, losing to Alina Bivol (Russia). Natalia Buksa (Ukraine) utilized this opportunity, winning her game and jumping into the lead with 8.5 points. Abdumalik has 8 points, Bivol is third with 7.5 points. 

Jan-Krzysztof Duda (Poland) defeated Nijat Abasov (Azerbaijan) and extended his lead to a full point. Duda has 8 points, Mikhail Antipov (Russia) and three other players have 7 points. 

With three more rounds left to play, both titles are still pretty much up for grabs.
