Two Rounds of Botvinnik Cup Played in Moscow

First and second rounds of the Mikhail Botvinnik Open Cup, in which 11 teams from the CIS countries and Georgia are taking part, were played in the Cosmos Hotel in Moscow on August 10th. 

Having defeated Moldova and Armenia, the Belarusian team took the sole lead with 10.5 points. 

Russians, who drew with Kazakhs and won their match against Tajikistan, are half a point behind.  

Team Georgia, whose participants made a draw with the chess players from Uzbekistan and defeated the Azeri team, have scored 9 points.

The next two rounds will take place on August 11th. Belarusian and Russian teams are to play against each other in round 3.
