Russians Teams to Contend for Prizes at European Senior Championship

The event to take place in Poland.


The first games of the European Senior Team Championship will be played in Walbrzych, Poland, on April 14. The event consists of two separated championships for categories 50+ (Russia is represented by Galina Strutinskaia, Tatiana Grabuzova, Elena Fatalibekova, Elena Sazonova, and Nina Sirotkina) and 65+ (the Russians Yuri Balashov, Evgeni Vasiukov, Alexander Lisenko, Vladimir Zhelnin, and Nikolai Pushkov are heading the starting list). 

The championship will be played in 9 rounds, Swiss system, with time control 90 min for 40 moves + 30 min for the rest of the game + 30 sec increment for every move played starting from the move one, with the total prize fund of 8.000 EUR.
