Round 3 of Russian Senior Championship Played in Sochi

On October 8, the third round of the Russian Senior Championship was played in Grand Hotel Zhemchuzhina, Sochi. Yuri Balashov, Evgeny Sveshnikov and Alexander Lisenko lead the Higher League with 2.5 points. In round 4, Balashov will face Lisenko, while Sveshnikov’s rival will be Evgenij Kalegin.
Tatiana Ivanova and Natalia Ruchieva are heading the women’s tournament with 3 points. In round 4, the leaders will play against each other. Valentina Kozlovskaya, Svetlana Mednikova, Ludmila Saunina and Elena Fatalibekova are trailing by half a point.
