Return Games of Round 1 of FIDE Grand Prix Leg Completed in Hamburg

Peter Svidler qualifies to quarterfinals.


The second games of Round 1 of the FIDE Grand Prix leg organized by World Chess were played in Hamburg on November 6. 

Peter Svidler defeated Pentala Harikrishna 1.5-0.5, Veselin Topalov won against Hikaru Nakamura with a minimal score as well, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave eliminated Wei Yi 1.5-0.5, while Ian Nepomniachtchi lost the match to Jan-Krzysztof Duda 0.5-1.5. 

The matches Navara - Vitiugov, Wojtaszek - Grischuk, Radjabov - Dubov, and Jakovenko - Yu Yangyi ended with an equal score 1-1. The tiebreak will be played on November 7.
