RCF will cooperate with the ART RUSSE fund

This creates new ways of chess promotion

Russian Chess Federation and ART RUSSE Fund, a charity fund that implements educational projects aimed at supporting and promoting the Russian art of the ХХ century, signed a cooperation agreement.

One of the main goals of ART RUSSE Fund is bringing back to the spotlight forgotten or little known masterpieces of art created in the Soviet Union in 1917-1991. The Russian Chess Federation aims at promoting chess and regaining its mass popularity in Russia. Cooperation between ART RUSSE Fund and RCF allows to combine the effort is achieving these goals.

This partnership between RCF and ART RUSSE Fund is a logical step following the implementation of Chess in Museums project, created by RCF in 2012 and carried out in cooperation with the Timchenko Fund. In the last two years chess events were played in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Louvre, the Russian Museum, the Art Museum of Tatarstan Republic. Cooperation with ART RUSSE Fund is a new step in developing various projects assisting chess promotion and creating new ways of uniting cultural and intellectual life of our society.

There are dozens of millions chess fans all over the world. The Chess in Museums project demonstrates that exposing art to chess audience increases its recognition and gives it the new markets. An innovative approach to organizing and covering chess events provides the unique opportunity of demonstrating cultural achievements of different eras and promoting wealth of the Russian art.

Thanks to online broadcasting made by the unique RCF technology, each major tournament also becomes a virtual art gallery with more than a million visitors from all over the world. For example, the 2012 World Chess Championship match in the Tretyakov Gallery significantly improved the recognition of Russian classical art in India. The 2014 Russian Championship Superfinal in the Art Museum in Kazan Kremlin did a lot for promoting the art of Nikolay Feshin. Russian Chess Federation and ART RUSSE Fund are confident in making new steps in promoting Russian and Soviet art all over the world.
