Moscow Wins Russian Team Rapid Championship

Ugra won the women's event.

Russian Team Rapid Championship was a 9-round Swiss with 24 teams. Moscow won the event with 16 match points out of 18. The names of the champions: Daniil Dubov, Alexander Morozevich, Alexey Dreev, Ivan Popov, and Alexander Motylev. Ladya (Kazan) was second with 13 points, Spartak (Moscow) was third with 12 points. 


Seven teams played a round-robin tournament in the women's championship. Ugra (Pogonina, Mkrtchian, Nechaeva, Kovanova) won with 10 out of 12. Moscow was second with 9 points, VIVO (St. Petersburg) took third with 8 points. 


Ten teams took part in the seniors championship, with 4 men's and 1 women's board. University (Krasnodarsky Krai) took first place with 17/18. The lineup: Sveshnikov, Kalegin, Zhelnin, Pushkov, Strutinskaya, and Polyakov. Moscow Seniors took second with 15 points, Moscow Region was third with 12 points. 


Russian Team Blitz Championships will take place on October 7.
