Ivan Schitco Leads ACF Cup in Memory of M. Botvinnik

Govhar Beydullayeva wins the girls’ event with one round to go.

10 rounds of the ACF Cup in Memory of Mikhail Botvinnik are played in the Central Chess Club in Moscow. 

Ivan Schitco (Moldova) is leading the race at the open event with 7.5 points out of 9. Armen Barseghyan (Armenia) is half a point behind, but he has already played all his games. Aram Yeritsyan (Russia) has got 6.5 points out of 9. On November 8, the final 11th round will be played with the key match Schitco - Yeritsyan.

Govhar Beydullayeva (Azerbaijan) won the girls’ tournament with one round to go: she secured 9 victories in 9 games. Mariam Mkrtchyan (Armenia) has scored 6 points out of 9, Yuliya Khegay (Uzbekistan) has got 5.5/9.
