Dmitry Oleinikov Wins Ostankino Journalists’ Cup
The tournament took place in Central House of Chess Player.

The representatives of such well-known editions, as Sovetsky Sport, Moskovskij Komsomolets, R-Sport Agency, radio and television employees, and chess media took part in an open Cup of Ostankino Technical Center among journalists.14 participants were contesing not only for the Ostankino Cup, but also for a special prize from the Federation of Sport Journalists of Russia. Dmitry Oleinikov, Atryom Pugachev, Elmira Mirzoeva, Alina Bivol, and Maria Manakova were waging the fight for the first place.
Dmitry Oleinikov turned out to be the most stable participant who scored 8.5 points out of 11 to win the tournament. Three players scored 8 points: Artyom Pugachev became the silver medalist, while Maria Manakova won bronze.
Maria Manakova was given the Cup from the Federation of Sport Journalists of Russia as well. The best chess veteran Viacheslav Kaliaev and not-rated Alexander Ilyin were rewarded by special prizes from Ostankino Sport Club.
