Dmitry Jakovenko Starts Round 3 of Russian Cup Final With Victory

First games of the semi-final of the men’s Russian Cup Final were played in Khanty-Mansiysk. Dmitry Jakovenko defeated Evgeny Shaposhnikov with black pieces, while the game Gordievsky - Kokarev ended in a draw.The first game of the final match Tomilova vs. Kovanova of the women’s event was drawn. Kovanova will have white pieces in the return encounter.
