Children From Boarding Schools, Orphanages and Schools Competed in Saransk
The event was both individual and team.
On May 23, the second individual and team chess tournament was held at Yalga Orphanage-School in Saransk. Children from boarding schools and orphanages of Mordovia and pupils of Saransk schools took part in the event, dedicated to Children’s Day. According to the participants, the tournament showed an increasing level of sportsmanship of young chess players.

Schoolchildren, boys: 1. Ilya Protsenko, 2. Artyom Morozov, 3. Danil Arzhannikov.
Schoolchildren, girls: 1. Katya Dorofeeva, 2. Albina Alukayeva, 3. Zhenya Denisova.
Team results, boarding schools and orphanages: 1. Yalga Orphanage-School, 2. Saransk Boarding School for children with hearing disorders, 3. Insar Boarding School.
The first two teams are involved in RCF project Chess to Boarding Schools.
Team results, schools of Saransk: 1. Lyceum №7, 2. School № 39, 3. School №40.
Best teams were rewarded with trophies and diplomas, best chess players were given certificates and medals. Every participant was presented with a gift. The event ended with a tea-party.
