Chess Tent on the Red Square

Ilya Makoveev and Anastasia Savina gave simuls on the weekend.

During the Spasskaya Tower for Kids festival, a chess tent is placed on the main square of Russia. For more than two weeks, from August 29 to September 13, anyone can play a game on a gigantic chess set, or take part in various contests. The organizes are Chess at Schools non-profit organization and Moscow Chess Federation. 

On the last weekend of summer, the tent hosted children's rapid chess tournaments and simuls.

Ilya Makoveev, Russian, European, and World U8 Champion, gave a simul on Saturday, August 29. The young sportsman, sponsored by Liga Stavok betting company, won all 15 games. 

Anastasia Savina, one of the strongest women players in the country, hosted a simul on the next day, and also won all her games.
