Chess Players with Locomotor Disabilities Played in Russian Championship
The tournament took place in Volgograd.
Many parts of Russia were represented in the tournament: from Kamchatka to the North Caucasus. The sportsmen from 21 regions were fighting hard to determine the best chess players of Russia and then represent their country abroad.
The winners were announced in the following categories: men, women, wheelchair persons, teams.
Teams:
1 place - Moscow Oblast, 2 place – Sverdlovsk Oblast, 3 place – Moscow.
Wheelchair persons:
1 place - Andrey Tersintsev (Penza Oblast), 2 place – Sergey Tsapalin (Perm Krai), 3 place – Dmitry Scherbin (Sverdlovsk Oblast).
Women:
1 place - Galina Melnik (Moscow Oblast), 2 place - Ekaterina Schukina (Moscow), 3 place - Anna Sergeeva (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug).
Men:
1 place – Andrey Obodchuk (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug - Ugra), 2 place – Mihail Khudov (Moscow Oblast), 3 place – Andrey Tersintsev (Penza Oblast).
