6 rounds of the Russian Youth Team Championship are played in Belgorod. The key match of the round was Junior Sports School №2 From Kurgan vs. Youth of Moscow-1. Each team had 15 points scored. The Kurgan team defeated the rival in a tense struggle: the draw was made on board 1, Andrey Drygalov and Tagir Salemgareev outplayed their opponents on boards 2 and 3, Irina Alekseeva lost to Dinara Dordzhieva on board 4. While the leaders were fighting against each other, the chess players of Botvinnik Junior Sports School-1 made a birthday present for their coach Viktor Cherny. The Muscovites defeated the St. Petersburg team Anichkov Palace 4-0 to take the lead in the event.
The team from Kurgan Oblast is second (17.5 points), while Youth of Moscow-1 is third (16.5 points).
