Your Excellency Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nehyan,
Please accept my sincere congratulations on the victory of the team Al-Ain ACMG UAE from the United Arab Emirates at the World Rapid Chess Championship in Astana!
The team roster was exceptionally impressive, featuring five Russian players: Daniil Dubov, Vladislav Artemyev, Dmitry Andreikin, Volodar Murzin, and Kateryna Lagno, as well as Wafia Darwish Al Maamari from the UAE, Parham Maghsudlu from Iran, Zhu Jiner from China, and Ibragim Galymzhanuly from Kazakhstan. The team was led by captain Sami Khader (FIDE Senior Trainer) and directed by Mr. Hisham Altaher (the CEO of ACMG).
The presence of the Russian and UAE’s players in one team emphasizes our friendly ties and strengthens relations between the two countries. The fact that the Al-Ain ACMG UAE team won the World Championship proves the success and fruitfulness of our cooperation.
The victory at the World Rapid Team Championship was very difficult for the chess players: they were up against the rating favorite - the star team WR Chess Team, as well as strong squads from China and India. But the fighting spirit of our athletes turned out to be stronger, and they snatched gold in a tense struggle.
I congratulate you and wish you new sporting achievements, fair victories and friendship between peoples!
