Andrei Obodchuk Wins 21st IPCA World Individual Championship
Svetlana Gerasimova showed the best result among women.

The 21st IPCA World Individual Chess Championship finished in Ashdod, Israel, on 16 May. The 9-round Swiss competition brought together 24 players.
Having scored 7.5 points out of 9, IM Andrei Abodchuk (FIDE) became the World IPCA Champion. IM Stanislav Mikheev (Serbia) finished half a point behind the winner and claimed second place. GM Yaacov Zilberman and IM Andrei Gurbanov, both from Israel, scored 6.5 points each and tied for third place; Zilberman won bronze thanks to the superior tie-break.
WFM Svetlana Gerasimova (FIDE) showed the best result among women - 4.5 points.
