Alireza Firouzja Wins Masters Tournament at Prague International Chess Festival
He defeated Santosh Vidit in playoff.

The Prague International Chess Festival finished in the capital of the Czech Republic.
In the final ninth round of the Masters event, the leader Santosh Vidit lost to Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Sam Shankland defeated Nikita Vitiugov, while Pentala Harikrishna beat David Navara. A roller-coaster game between David Anton and Alireza Firouzja was drawn, and the Ragger - Grandelious encounter also ended peacefully.
Alireza Firouzja, Santosh Vidit, Jan-Krzysztof Duda, David Anton, and Sam Shankland shared 1-5 places with 5 points scored.
A playoff match between two top players - Firouzja and Vidit - was played according to the Regulations. Alireza Firouzja won both blitz games to become the winner of the super tournament.
Jorden Van Foreest won the Challengers tournament with 6 points out of 9. Nijat Abasov (2nd place) and Andrey Esipenko (3rd place) are half a point behind.
