Aeroflot Open 2017 Dates Announced
The popular open tournament will be played on February 20 – March 3 in Komsos Hotel.
The 15th edition of the Aeroflot Open will start on February 20 and end on March 3. The guaranteed prize fund of the event (including the blitz tournament) is 140,000 euro. Three 9-round open tournaments (A, B, and C) will be played on February 21 – March 1. The traditional blitz tournament is scheduled on March 2.
The organizers of the festival are Aeroflot – Russian Airlines, Russian Chess Federation, and Association of Chess Federations.
42 players have already registered for the tournament A. The highest rated players are Nikita Vitiugov, Ernesto Inarkiev, Maxim Matlakov (all – Russia), Santos Vidit (India), and Rauf Mamedov (Azerbaijan).
