The Russian Senior Championships will be held in two leagues. 

The Higher League, which is the Russian Senior Championships among men and women, will be held in Pushkin, a municipal town in Pushkinsky District of the federal city of Saint Petersburg, from 30 September till 8 October 2023.  

The qualified players born in 1963 (open) and in 1968 (women) and older are entitled to take part in the events. A total number of participants in the Higher League is limited to 60 players. 

The total prize fund is 1,500,000 rubles.

The First League, the Yuri Lobanov Memorial, will take place in the Sochi Park Hotel, the Sirius federal territory, from 30 September till 8 October 2023. Any number of players born in 1963 (open) and in 1968 (women) can take part in the First League. 

The total prize fund is 500,000 rubles.

The Higher League will be followed by the Russian Senior Rapid (9-12 October) and Blitz (11-13 October) Championships. The total prize fund for the rapid event is 500,000 rubles and for blitz is 200,000 rubles.
